Taking the pain out of assessment

As an inexperienced teacher, I learned the painful lesson that one can work long and hard to make a very poor test if you don’t know what you’re doing! Knowledge is truly powerful. After twenty years of designing my own tests for students in Japan and applying what I’ve learned  through my graduate training, teaching experience, and now training English teachers at Trinity Western, I have learned many lessons to share with those new to the profession or seeking to build up their knowledge base to excel in the classroom.
